On the vast plains at the eastern foot of the Greater Khingan Range in western Jilin, rows of dual-axis tracking PV system turn slowly with the sun, turning abundant sunlight into a steady stream of green power. This is the Phase II project of the Baicheng PV “Technology Leader” base — the only national PV “Technology Leader” base in Northeast China. As a professional dual-axis tracking system manufacturer, we undertook the full scope of bracket structural design, PV array layout design and a series of specialist planning and engineering works, contributing professional strength to Northeast China’s new-energy development with sun-tracking systems proven against cold, wind and snow.
I. Project Background: The only "leader" photovoltaic project base in Northeast China
Baicheng lies on the plains at the eastern foot of the Greater Khingan Range, with a temperate continental monsoon climate — abundant sunshine, large precipitation variability. Most areas receive 2,800–3,000 sunshine hours a year and annual radiation of 5,040–5,400 MJ/m², placing it in Class B of China’s solar energy resource regions and making it the only national PV “Technology Leader” base in Northeast China.
Yet behind the “abundant sunshine” are −30°C winters, gusts above Force 10 and frequent snow cover — all imposing the highest demands on bracket structural reliability, wind resistance and snow resistance. The Huaneng Baicheng Phase II dual-axis tracking system project took root in precisely this extreme-cold environment.
Faced with such a demanding cold-climate environment, we resolved each challenge with professional design capability and reliable products — supporting the project from blueprint to ground, end to end.
II. Our professional design capabilities: The full-process strength from drawing design to actual implementation
Bracket and PV array design is the source of a power plant’s generation output and long-term reliability. Facing the harsh cold, strong wind and great snow, we brought our full design experience in PV mounting systems to deliver a one-stop service from survey and design through manufacturing, installation and O&M:
A.Dual-axis tracking system bracket structural design:
High-strength steel structures with rational anchoring and ballast foundation schemes for cold-climate plains and PV-agriculture scenarios, verified by wind-load, snow-load and structural-stability checks for long-term stability.
B.PV array layout design:
Array spacing, tilt and orientation optimized through terrain, latitude and shading analysis to maximize land utilization and energy yield.
C.Frozen-ground foundation & adaptation design:
Foundation selection and reinforcement designed around seasonal frost and freeze-thaw cycles to improve stability in low-temperature environments.
D.Dual-axis tracking system tracking control configuration:
Real-time dual-axis sun-tracking with protection strategies for high wind, heavy snow and overcast weather, plus snow-prevention and snow-clearing coordination, integrated with intelligent monitoring to balance energy gain and operational safety.
E.Lightning protection, grounding & cable planning:
Compliant lightning, grounding and cable-routing design for electrical safety and maintenance convenience.
III. Product Advantages: Why Choose the Dual-Axis Tracking Mounting Frame
A dual-axis tracking bracket tracks the sun in both azimuth and tilt in real time, keeping panels always facing the sun — and especially in cold, snow-prone regions, it is a highly effective choice for boosting a plant’s generation revenue:
A.Significantly higher generation: After the project has been fully commissioned and normally commercial operation, field tests at a western-Jilin PV test base show dual-axis tracking systems can generate 29.3% more than fixed brackets; dual-axis tracking goes further by following the sun in real time, effectively lowering LCOE and shortening payback.
B.One-stop service: full-chain coverage from survey, design, manufacturing and supply to installation guidance and O&M support — one point of contact for our customers.
C.Proven track record: deep experience in cold-region, mountain and other demanding scenarios, with real projects validating the reliability of our products and solutions.
D.Fast delivery: mature manufacturing and stable capacity protect project schedules and help owners connect to the grid on time.
E.Reliable quality: strict process standards and quality inspection systems safeguard decades of long-term plant operation.
If you are planning a cold-region, plains, mountain or PV-agriculture PV plant, or want to lift generation and returns with a dual-axis tracking system — please contact us any time. With professional design capability, reliable products and attentive service, we will tailor a dual-axis PV tracking bracket solution for you.
